Skate Crasher

I did not know you could fall in love with a sport! Of course I'd seen it happen before in others, and had gone along with that and taken part and spectated, but this was different... When roller derby got hold of me (thanks to Mia Malice and a poster made by Go-go and Kitten) I realised this sport belonged to ME, no I belonged to Roller Derby! Whatever! the skates had touched the floor and I was hooked!

I feel really lucky to have started alongside the first few SSRG visionaries and see this sport evolve. If you missed this early phase of evolution though, it mostly involved a lot of falling over and trying to work out stuff we'd heard about on the internet, such as rules. My eyes were like dinner plates when I eventually saw LRD stamp their mark against BBDD. Since then the universe of SSRG has of course exploded, and it seems like as soon as you start to think thoughts such as "maybe we'll set up intraleague teams" its happening.

I've got a lot to learn - I love jamming, and somehow seem to have a natural skill - sneakiness? Ok character trait rather than skill. I love being in the pack too - and although it comes less naturally to me - its where the strategy and the battle is really played out, so its where there's always more scenarious and tricks and skills to learn (drool)

Finally a confession. I steal energy and love off the team, without you even noticing, put it in my pocket and take it away with me, so I can have a little bit whenever I need it (evil laughter)
