Kim Oh No

I'm the illegitimate child of Japanese assassin Lady Snowblood and a freak show contortionist. I had mastered the samurai's sword the katana by the age of 12, and I can easily fit into the smallest of spaces. I've been a member of Sheffield Steel Roller Girls since summer 2009 and haven't looked back since.

SSRG are the main priority in my life. I love them all more than anything. I can no longer imagine life without them and just wouldn’t want to. Playing roller derby is what I was born to do, and I was born to do it with these girls by my side.

I’m loud and aggressive, so I make a great pivot for the team. I like playing up front as pivot or B2 and making strong walls, getting low and wide to get in the opposing jammer’s way. I’m known for being super bendy and getting down seriously low, covering the inside line with ease. I’m currently focusing on improving my jammer skills along side other positions within the pack, making myself the best I can be. Toxic farts are my secret weapon, leaving skaters within an inch of their lives!

I’m an active member of the training committee, mainly coaching our advanced sessions. I’ve adapted my knowledge of strength training and endurance to roller derby and get the team doing some seriously hardcore on-skate workouts, which I'm pretty sure they secretly love. I've been vice captain of the team for the 2010/11 season and helped lead them to some fine victories within that time.
