Miss D Nightshade

I have been skating with SSRG since its founder, Jane Doe A GO GO, established it in 2009. I'd been to see an LA Derby Dolls bout that summer but didn’t have a clue what was going on! When I got back to Sheffield I saw a poster advertising that someone was trying to set up a team in Sheffield so I thought i'd give it ago. That was 3 years ago and it has taken over my life ever since. I have really fond memories of the early training sessions we used to have when some days only 4 of us would turn up and new skaters would be there without (heaven forbid) helmets or mouthguards! Unbearable to think of now! Ive been running training sessions since the beginning and they now (with help from the amazing training committee) run like a well oiled machine. I love this team and everything about them. We have been through some tough times and come out the other side. Skating means everything to me and will always pick me up when I feel like crap! This team has become a really important part of my life and I look forward to what the next few years will bring us. (provided I don’t get broken by Rio or Fury in the mean time!!! )
